We have had some great sermons during our world mission month from Exodus through to Revelation showing that God’s plan to bring Salvation through Jesus to all the nations & how He uses his people to do this, is woven throughout all of Scripture.
We are very thankful to all of our speakers for giving us such a clear picture of what God’s Mission is & both encouraging & challenging us to think how we can be involved. If you missed any of the talks, they are available to listen to through the BH website. Here are some of the highlights from the BH church family & our mission partners around the world: "In our youth group I’ve loved hearing about people going on mission trips to different parts of the world” “The talks have made me realise that God can send anyone to be a missionary anywhere in the world & that you don’t have to go to a foreign country to become a missionary” “One of the speakers asked us “Where’s the banana you’re eating come from? Where’s your favourite footballer from? Pray for that country!” really brought mission prayer into everyday life.” “It was good to hear different speakers who added strong teaching to the already brilliant Acts series on Evangelism-which Is God’s responsibility” “The Bible study book on World Mission that we have been doing in our small group have been good & challenging” We would love to hear from you

This month we are recommending some great books that will inspire us of how God is using ordinary people around the world. They are available after the church services on Sunday so why not bring along a few pounds & enjoy some fantastic reads. We are even giving one of them away for free! WORLD MISSION AWARENESS MONTH
As we’ve been hearing about God’s Mission for the world & how He wants us to be part of that you may feel that God has been prompting & encouraging you to take steps to be more involved in World Mission in some way. Maybe you’d like to know how better to support our Mission Partners or would like to get involved in a short-term mission trip of some kind. Maybe you think God might be calling you to consider longer-term mission work. Or maybe you’d like help & resources to know how to share your faith with friends & family or would like to be involved in reaching out to our local community. The easiest first steps are to be praying & to get in touch with Katy Lambert (our World Mission co-ordinator) via the BH church office & let me know how we can help you. |
