This week we are praying for Susanna Baldwin in Darwin, Australia working with Wycliffe on a PEV (Plain English Version) Bible translation project. 1. Please pray for me as I move into translating the last few chapters of Genesis for the Plain English Version. Pray that God's Spirit will guide my choice of words and allow me to produce a clear and faithful translation.
2. Pray that the Plain English Version Mini-Bible, currently at the printers, will soon be ready for distribution, and prove a great blessing to Indigenous Christians, churches and communities. 3. Pray that God will raise up more people to serve in Bible translation for Indigenous Australian language groups - whether as frontline translators, advisors and consultants, or support workers behind the scenes. 4. Give thanks that my colleague Melody (who looks after publicity and communications for our group) is keen to try her hand at some PEV translation work and is beginning a first draft of Hebrews. Pray that God will give her the time and skills to make a valuable contribution to the project. 5. Pray for Nungalinya College - the training ground for Indigenous church leaders and Bible translators in the Northern Territory (and where our office is located). Currently students are unable to return to begin their classes due to COVID-related travel restrictions from remote communities. Pray that these restrictions will be short-lived and that teaching programmes can soon get up and running again. 6. Pray for the ministry of Christ Church Cathedral, Darwin, where I currently worship and serve - for grace and unity between people of different theological backgrounds and views, and for God's truth to prevail in all things. Pray that our new Sunday evening service will draw more people, especially doubters and seekers, to come into the fellowship of God's church. 7. As I commit to another season serving in Darwin, please pray for peace with my mixed emotions and the continued sense of divided loyalties between here and Ethiopia. Pray that I will trust God and rest in his good plans for me, wherever and however they may take shape.

Update from Katie Bennett, our Mission Partner who was serving in Spain with NZCMS. Katie has recently made the tough decision to not return to Spain with NZCMS and to stay in New Zealand.
She writes “Sadly, but I know rightly it became clear that staying in New Zealand and not returning to Spain was the best next step. Considering returning as a mission partner to the Spanish field is a big step that I am not ready to make for now but possibly in the future if God makes it abundantly clear. Thank you for sharing and partnering in my Spanish journey over the past 6 years. I can see so many precious ways that God has been at work and continues to be. He gave me the language, a deep love for the culture, deep and ongoing relationships with believers, fellow missionaries and locals and ministry roles where I could use the gifts, he has given me. All glory to Him! I am officially finishing with NZCMS as a full time Mission Partner but very much looking forward to continuing my relationship with them on home turf. I’d appreciate your ongoing prayers for adjusting to this change, for the grief of not returning to Spain anytime soon and also very much for dear friends and my church family in Gijón as they process me not being with them in person.” Katie has some prayer points below. Many of you will have come to know her well so do keep in touch!
