Our Mission Partner of the Month for July is Susanna Baldwin, who lives in Darwin, Australia working with Wycliffe on a PEV (Plain English Version) Bible translation project.

Please pray
1. Give thanks for the newly published Plain English Version (PEV) booklets of Genesis, Jonah, 1 Corinthians, the ‘John letters’, and a compilation of 10 Psalms. Pray that these booklets will quickly make their way into people’s hands and bless those who read them with new insights into God’s truth.
2. Praise God for the blessing it has been to work on a draft of Revelation for the PEV. Please pray for the Holy Spirit to continue guiding the translation of this rich, daunting and powerful book.
3. Give thanks for the students from Sydney Missionary & Bible College who, inspired by their recent trip to Darwin, have formed a group to draft some PEV Psalms with our guidance. Pray that they will find joy in learning and serving and in this way, and that their work will be a helpful contribution to the PEV project.
4. Give thanks for a steady number of people enquiring about work and volunteer opportunities with Wycliffe (and other ministries) in Northern Australia. Pray that God will lead these willing servants into roles well suited to their gifts and passions.
5. Give thanks that our biennial staff conference earlier this month ran smoothly and that people found it enjoyable and beneficial. Pray for wisdom and unity as we continue to discuss possible changes to our organisation’s governance structures.
6. Please pray for members of our team who are experiencing sadness and difficulty in their families at this time, including bereavement, conflict, and the challenges of ageing or sick parents. Pray that they will know God’s wisdom and grace to respond well and provide support where needed.
7. Give thanks for the Wycliffe ‘member care’ staff who offer pastoral support to workers on the field. They are unsalaried and need to raise their own financial support. Please pray especially for my member care reps, Mark and Jane, who are currently seeking more financial partnership to enable them to serve full time in this role
