FESTIVE

This week we are praying for FESTIVE who seek to equip and inspire Gospel work in the often-overlooked area of Further Education (16-18 year olds).  They support individual students and Christian unions around the country offering mentoring, encouragement, prayer, and free resources.

1. A few students in our network who haven’t previously replied to emails sent by their volunteers have recently replied saying that they have really appreciated the emails and the dedication to prayer. Please thank God that the Student Engagement Teams’ words have been read and used to bless the students in our network.
2. Jess, Joanna and Josh are finishing their time as volunteers on our student engagement team. They have been real assets to the team and poured a lot of time into their emails and prayer for those students on their lists. Please thank God for them and ask for his guidance, protection and strengthening as they embark on their next steps.
3. We’ll in the process of recruiting and training new Student Engagement volunteers to start in September. We’re excited and give thanks for these young people that God has put on their heart to serve with us in this way. Please pray for all the logistics involved and that everything would come together.
4. Please pray for Adé, our newest member of staff in charge of our social media. As she starts the summer campaign of promoting Festive on Social Media, pray she would be given creativity and insight to produce new and engaging content that will be God honouring and helpful to those young people who see it.
5. We are so, so, SO excited to finally be back out there this summer and meeting with students at Christian youth festivals. Please pray for the teams at each of the events, that they will engage with and recruit many sixth form/college students to the network so that we can equip as many as possible to be living for and sharing Jesus where they study. We’ll be at 5 events between 23rd July and 13th August.
6. Please pray for the many students we have been in touch with over the last year. For those continuing with sixth form next year, pray that they would be thinking and praying over the summer about more opportunities to share Jesus next year; and perhaps even consider starting a CU if there isn’t on. For those heading to Uni, please pray that they would make time to prepare themselves spiritually, looking into churches before going as well as sorting out all their other logistics of living and studying.
7. Please pray for each Festive staff member as they take some holiday during this season (Pete, Rhian, Karen, Claire, Dan, Adé) – please pray for rest and refreshment, ready to start the new year in September which is always a particularly busy time!
