As we celebrate Mothering Sunday we pray for our Mission Partners around the World

• Please pray for all our Mission Partners who are Mums that God would give them Godly wisdom & energy to parent their children well at the various ages & stages they are at.
• Pray also for all the mothers of our Mission Partners, especially those who live in a different country from our Mission Partners. Pray they would be able to keep in good contact and show Jesus' love to them even when they are far away.
• Pray for all the mothers that our Mission Partners are in contact with. Pray that they will be able to grow good friendships that will be an encouragement and lead to opportunities to share the Gospel with them.  

 This week we also pray for our Lent Appeal towards the work
       Open Doors do in supporting Christians in Afghanistan.

• Pray that as a church family we will remember the generosity that God has shown to us and will want to be generous in our giving and prayers for persecuted Christians in Afghanistan.  
• Pray that God would provide Open Doors with the resources & wisdom they need to get aid & encouragement to the right places & people that need it most as the country confronts an ongoing drought and hunger crisis.
• Pray for our brothers & sisters in a country where to be a Christian is dangerous & to be discovered could cost them their lives. Pray that God would protect them & strengthen them to stand firm in their faith.  
• Pray for women in Afghanistan where they have very little social or financial autonomy. Since the Taliban takeover in 2021 the position of women has become even more dangerous, and any progress that has been made in women's freedoms has been swiftly undone. Pray particularly for Christian women & girls who are extremely vulnerable to violent persecution & enforced marriages.​
