Latest news and 'Thought for the day'
Thought for the day by Phil Moon (Vicar)Remarkable, isn’t it, the way the first Christians just kept on going, through thick and thin, through adversity, persecution, some internal problems in the church, differences of opinion, loyalty squabbles, riots, famine, hunger, the lot. They just kept on going. They never stopped. They never stopped proclaiming that Jesus is the Messiah They never stopped giving They never stopped praying They never stopped rejoicing They never stopped loving The never stopped worshipping They never stopped meeting together in some shape or form. They never stopped. It’s delightful to see. Delightful, and encouraging, and challenging, and thought-provoking. Acts 5:42 “Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.” (italics mine) Let's pray it would be 'me too.' Brazil FundJHMT is pleased to confirm that, in addition to the £3,000 that has been sent to Nelson from JHMT unrestricted funds, a further £11,722.50 (incl Gift Aid) has been received from the church family. The Fund will stop on the 10th July, and so if you still wish to donate money towards the Brazil Pastors in need of financial help, could you please advise Roger Bellamy. On behalf of the Trustees of JHMT, I want to thank you for your generosity. God bless you Roger Bellamy Treasurer Instead of having information on up coming services and events on the Daily Bulletin we have restarted sending out a BH news which contains a summary of all the events happening at BH and other news.
