Thought for the Day by Matt Jones (Associate Minister for Music

Today I am doing a devotional on Psalm 8. Play the song, read through the psalm and meditate on the words.

O Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth
Psalm 8
For the director of music. According to gittith. A psalm of David.
1 Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory
    in the heavens.
2 Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens,
    the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?
5 You have made them a little lower than the angels
and crowned them with glory and honor.
6 You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
you put everything under their feet:
7 all flocks and herds,
and the animals of the wild,
8 the birds in the sky,
and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.
9 Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Some thoughts about how BH will come out of lockdown

Alpha on-line

Picture
At BH we are running four  Alpha Sessions online.  The first is a taster  session titled 'Is there more to life than this?' After the taster session there will be the chance for 3 more sessions to look at
Who is Jesus?
Why did Jesus die?
How can I have faith?
There will be afternoon sessions starting this Monday June 1  14:00 to 15:30 or evening sessions starting this Wednesday 3 June 19:30 to 21:00.  They will be the same so please chose which sessions are best for you.  We would love to see you. Please be thinking and praying about who you could bring along. Due to the fact it is on zoom numbers will be limited. For more details, to sign up  or to watch a short video about Alpha please go to the  BH Website. You can also sign up on MyChurchsuite.

BH Family Quiz tomorrow night 7:30 to 8:30

Picture
Join the BH quiz night! There will be an eclectic mix of questions in 6 rounds from our expert quiz masters, but it will be suitable for all ages.  We will work individually/ in households, not in teams,  but will go to a meeting room after each round to work out the answers, so a great time to exercise the little grey cells and meet up with folk. Also, why not use the “chat” facility to share ideas with friends?
We need 5 quiz masters...if you would like to dream up some questions please contact Don on [email protected]

To join in please log on to MyChurchSuite, click on the picture of the quiz and click the Online - Zoom button
Please contact the office if you don't have a log in to MyChurchsuite
