CAMEO stands for Come And Meet Each Other
and is a group that has been running at Bishop Hannington since 1982.
It was started to make contact people in the community
and has been fulfilling that mission for nearly 30 years.

and has been fulfilling that mission for nearly 30 years.
On Thursday mornings people start to arrive for coffee/biscuits & chat
from around 9.45 am and usually there are forty to fifty people attending
who are predominantly aged 50+.
At 11 am there will be a speaker, a quiz, a discussion or a members’ morning
covering various topics to appeal to as many as possible.
Some of those attending the group come to Bishop Hannington
but many don’t and have no other contact with the church.
We also have an annual day trip out such as our visit to Guildford
including a boat trip and cream tea!
There are optional Bible Studies every two to three weeks
following lunch made & served by the Cameo team.
For those who want to find out more about the Christian faith
[or would like a refresher] Christian Courses are also available.
It’s an extremely diverse group and we love it that so many different folks
feel they want to be there on a Thursday morning.
The team continue to work hard at providing a great environment
for folks to come and meet each other week by week.
