20-20 is BH's finely-tuned, fully functional answer to your diary's Wednesday and Sunday evening windows! If you're between the ages of 18-30ish and are a worker, UK student, or an international student, 20-20 is the group for you to be part of; enabling you to grow in your love of Jesus. There is a free bus service on Sundays and Wednesdays. For times see below. For more information contact Martin Povey or ring 01273 776718.
20-20 on WEDNESDAYS - meeting from 7.30-9.00pm
Every Wednesday, a 20-20 member will provide some puddings, which we'll eat and chat over. We then dive into the Bible to hear from our incredible God and spend time praying and praising Him! Every 2nd Wednesday of the month, we join the rest of Church in prayer. For the first half of the term we will be joined by the rest of the church as, together we prepare for 'A Passion for Life', a nationwide mission happening in March 2010. See the term plan…| Date |

20-20 on SUNDAYS
On Sundays we meet together as a church family at 10am and 6.30pm, the latter being aimed a bit more at 18-30s. We praise God and listen to His word explained. After the service we just spend time chatting over a cup of tea or coffee, getting to know each other better, discussing what we've learned from the teaching and how we might apply it to our lives. We pray for each other, and also try and pray for members of the group who've gone away to do mission or work around the world... Paris, Inverness, Uganda, Malawi, Sydney... We try and be finished by 8.30pm so that people can get home if they need, sometimes if we want to keep chatting we might pop to a local pub.
One-2-One, Prayer Groups
BH as a church, and 20-20, are committed to discipleship; encouraging, equipping and training Christians to keep following Jesus in a hard world. To that end we like to encourage discipleship in smaller groups, this could be in the form of a prayer triplet - a few Christians meeting briefly each week to chat and pray - or maybe in the form of a One-2-One, two Christians studying the Bible together. If you'd like to get involved we can fix you up with other Christians of your age, or maybe a slightly older Christian to read the Bible with.
"BH is a great Church! I have been coming here all my life (19 years now!), it's been great to recieve such strong, biblical bible teaching every week. I've also had the priviledge to serve in leading music, going on a mission to Africa and more recently in preaching. I have always appreciated the time leaders have for me, both when I was in the youth groups and now in 2020. I meet with Povey (our 20's and students minister) every week during my lunch hour, in which we bomb up to McDonald's and chat about Jesus and how to live for Him more!"Students
20-20 is a group for anyone aged roughly 18-30. That generally includes students, workers and graduates. We're committed to supporting students in their 3 or more years in Brighton, to encourage them to live for Jesus at Uni and also supporting the work of the Christian Unions. For more info check out the student page.
"The best thing about BH is the brilliant Bible teaching we get! And the thing that keeps me coming back is BH being a community who is striving to serve Jesus, and each other. I felt welcomed and like one of the family as soon as I arrived which made a huge difference to how I settled in to Uni life away from home."Transport
It's not too difficult to get to BH - the 5A bus stops right outside, and the 5 and 5B stop a short walk away. It's just a 5-minute walk from Aldrington station. If you live a bit further away, like on a university campus, then we can help! A minibus runs from Sussex Uni campus through Brighton to BH on a Sunday morning and evening (and back again) - there's a timetable on the student page - if you'd like it to stop somewhere else on the route, let us know. If you'd like a lift on a Wednesday evening then please get in touch with Hugh Bourne (07879 620322)
