Phil Moon

'The Vicar' - Phil Moon

I love climbing mountains and (even better) skiing down them, curry, England rugby and surf canoeing. Dislikes? Big Brother for a start, and German sausage. I'm married to Anna and we have four children, all still at school and likely to be doing exams quite soon. Before coming to BH in September 2004 I was vicar at Britain's most easterly church (how's your geography?) and before that I worked as head of a youth organisation within the CofE.

Bart Erlebach

'The Curate' - Bart Erlebach

I fill my time primarily with looking after our wonderful Apprentices and heading up the Home Groups. I am married to Bev and we have 3 children. I love eating, and particularly Chinese food, and I dislike most types of fish; to eat and to socialise with, either way they are not much fun.

 James Radcliffe

'The Curate' - James Radcliffe

I joined the BH church family from North London in July 08. Love watching and playing sport. Hate being stuck in traffic jams. Before working at BH, I was a Latin and Greek teacher. 2 biggest joys in life: Receiving God’s forgiveness as a 17 year old and Katie saying ‘Yes’ when I proposed.

Ross Ciano

Youth Minister - Ross Ciano

I'm an Insane Aussie. I love the English weather and eating junk food. I am married to Rachel and acknowledge that England are better at cricket than Australia.

Martin Povey

20s and Students Minister - Martin Povey

Martin Povey drives the 1995 European automobile of the year...namely the classy 1108cc Fiat Punto.  He enjoys spending time: with his family, friends and Essex girlfriend wife; visiting the Golden Arches and other high calibre fast-food establishments; playing football and cricket; and keeping up-to-date with the mighty Spurs. His dislikes are: lard cake and sloppy cutting in (paintwork).

Chris Dalton

Pastoral Worker - Chris Dalton

God got me into this great job supporting the church family through teaching, practical care & counselling and welcoming & encouraging newcomers. I'm married to Phil [another one!] and we have 2 married children. I love words & solving all kinds of puzzles and I hate loud noise and horseradish sauce.

Mark DaveyMinistry Trainee - Mark Davey

I Joined Bishop Hannington Church from Eastbourne (the sunshine coast) in September. I help out with the young people 11 - 18s. I like films very much, particular James Bonds and westerns. I also supported Brighton and Hove Albion football club, at which everyone laughs at me. And I speak in a funny accent which I call local dialectic but others call something else.

Hugh Bourne

Voluntary Apprentice - Hugh Bourne

Just graduated from the mighty University of Sussex with a degree in computer-techy-geeky stuff, and thought "I'd rather work for a church". Claims to fame include; meeting the old man from Jurassic Park, having my photo taken with Mark Driscoll and currently holding the title of Young Christian Blogger of 2008. In my spare time I play a bit of cricket and am working my way through Mark Davey's DVD collection.

Chris Luck

Voluntary Apprentice - Chris Luck

Since becoming a Christian in 2000 and joining the church family at BH, God clearly had a plan that I would be working here as a Voluntary Apprentice and therefore be part of the staff team! I enjoy watching rugby, playing my viola in orchestras, reading Christian books and listening to a range of music (particularly folk music!).

Charles Gibbs

Church Warden - Charles Gibbs

Prior to retirement I worked for the Evangelical Alliance as Head of Fundraising and before that managing the St Thomas Fund for the Homeless, a Christian based charity for people with drug & alcohol problems.

Geoff Payne Church Warden - Geoff Payne
John Harding

Assistant Warden - John Harding

I’ve been attending Bishop Hannington Church since becoming a Christian in 1986. I’m married to Monica and we have 3 children, who all enjoy the various activities at BH. As an Assistant Warden I’m responsible for ensuring the church services run smoothly – talking of running, in the summer you can find me running on the Downs with the Portslade Hedgehoppers!

Jenny PayneChildren's Work - Jenny Payne
Gina Thompson

Administrator - Gina Thompson

I have been attending Bishop Hannington Church for about 18 years and it is now great to be a part of such a fantastic Staff Team. I am married with two young children.  I love singing and annoy my colleague Jackie by singing all day long at my desk and I dislike veg!!

Jackie Paris

Administrator - Jackie Paris

My job aslo includes being PA to the Vicar. I spend my time going to the theatre, lunching and Scottish dancing. I have two sons and love holidaying in Cyprus every year.
