Who’s who?

‘The Vicar’ – Phil Moon
I love climbing mountains and (even better) skiing down them, curry, England rugby and surf canoeing. Dislikes? Big Brother for a start, and German sausage. I’m married to Anna and we have four children, all still at school and likely to be doing exams quite soon. Before coming to BH in September 2004 I was vicar at Britain’s most easterly church (how’s your geography?) and before that I worked as head of a youth organisation within the CofE

‘The Curate’ – James Radcliffe
I joined the BH church family from North London in July 08. Love watching and playing sport. Hate being stuck in traffic jams. Before working at BH, I was a Latin and Greek teacher. 2 biggest joys in life: Receiving God’s forgiveness as a 17 year old and Katie saying ‘Yes’ when I proposed.

Students & 20s Minister – Martin Povey
Martin Povey drives the 1995 European automobile of the year…namely the classy 1108cc Fiat Punto. He enjoys spending time: with his family, friends and Essex wife; visiting the Golden Arches and other high calibre fast-food establishments; playing football and cricket; and keeping up-to-date with the mighty Spurs. His dislikes are: lard cake and sloppy cutting in (paintwork).

Pastoral Worker – Chris Dalton
God got me into this great job supporting the church family through teaching, practical care & counselling and welcoming & encouraging newcomers. I love words & solving all kinds of puzzles and I hate loud noise and horseradish sauce.

Youth Minister – James Pinto
I love sport, cooking, numbers and tidiness. Dislikes? Messy kitchens, reality TV shows and the M25. Before coming to BH in September 2009 I was a secondary school Maths teacher in Barnsley (hence the love of numbers).

Ministry Trainee – Hugh Bourne
I came to Brighton in 2005 to study at the University of Sussex and recently graduated with a degree in computer-techy-geeky stuff, and thought “I’d rather work for a church”. Claims to fame include; meeting the old man from Jurassic Park, and currently holding the title of Young Christian Blogger of 2008 and 2009. In my spare time I play a bit of cricket and am working my way through Mark Davey’s DVD collection.

Ministry Trainee – Gavin Jones
Hi, I’m Gavin and I’m from Bedford or “The Shire” as it is now known. I am 23 and married to Karen. I enjoy eating, sleeping, Star Trek, lifting weights and working at BH. What I do at church is help out with the 5-18′s but you can some times catch me moving chairs as well.
